Update 9pm Monday 4th January.
In response to the Prime Minister’s announcement tonight, it is with regret that I must inform you of the school’s closure to all pupils with the exception of those whose parents are critical workers or for those children who are classed as vulnerable.
Remote learning will be provided for all other children. We will be sending out full details tomorrow to ensure that all families are prepared and well equipped for the home learning journey ahead.
Critical Workers’ Children and the vulnerable
Given the last minute nature of this enforced full lockdown, Burley Oaks will be closed tomorrow (Tuesday 5th January) to allow for a robust, sustainable and safe plan to be executed for your child/ren. Only staff members will be in school and you should not send your child.
We have had a significant response via the online google form from parents who are classed as critical workers. If you require your child to attend school from Wednesday onwards, we will be in contact tomorrow to gather more specific detail.
I am sorry that we once more find ourselves in this position.
Thank you for your continued support.
If you have any specific queries relating to your child, please do not hesitate to contact us via email or by phone.
With very best wishes
